Addis Ababa University was established in 1950 as the University College of Addis Ababa (UCAA). It is the oldest and the largest higher learning and research institution in Ethiopia. Since its inception, the University has been the leading center in teaching-learning, research and community services.
As part of Addis Ababa Univeristy, the Ethiopian Institute of Water Resources is a project partner in 'SPS-Blue Nile - Development and Transfer of a Seamless Prediction System for Decision Support in Transboundary Water Management of the Blue Nile'.
