(CRSN)

The Centre de Recherche en Santé de Nouna (CRSN) is a national research institute in Burkina Faso, belonging to the INSP of the Ministry of Health and physically located in the province of Kossi, in the north-western part of Burkina Faso, some 300 km from the capital, Ouagadougou. The CRSN was born in the early 1990s out of a collaboration between the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health and the Department of Tropical Hygiene and Public Health at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. Started as a research project, it became CRSN in 1999, as a research institution of the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health, with management autonomy.
