Green chemistry and biotechnology approaches for the development of nature-based cosmetics – GreenCosmIn
A green way towards nature-based cosmetics
The MSCA-funded GreenCosmIn project aims to form a tight multisectoral and interdisciplinary network for the implementation of green approaches for natural resources exploration and exploitation, towards the production of cosmetics. Leveraging the diverse expertise within the network (phytochemistry, biotechnology, bioactivity assessment), the project aspires to identify new compounds, methodologies and extracts by studying global plant biodiversity. The aim is to discover promising skin cosmetic properties, all while adhering to environmentally sustainable practices. Additionally, GreenCosmIn will provide training for new researchers in cutting-edge technologies. Furthermore, it will promote knowledge transfer and future collaborations between academic and industrial partners.
