The aim of the network project is to strengthen the training of GFL teachers in sub-Saharan Africa. To this end, training courses and seminars are developed and held, particularly in the areas of multilingualism, digital skills and digital capacity building, language in subject, profession and studies and literature didactics, as well as courses in research methods and academic writing.
In the coming years, the existing capacities of academic teacher training for German as a foreign language in Namibia, Togo and Kenya are to be expanded and international German studies strengthened.
