TAKeOFF: Advancing Research and Care for Filarial Infections and Podoconiosis

The TAKeOFF consortium is an international collaboration of five research institutions focused on combating filarial infections and podoconiosis—neglected tropical diseases affecting millions worldwide. The consortium works on clinical trials, immunology, co-infections, disease mechanisms, and morbidity management. Its aim is to develop innovative treatments, improve patient care, and reduce stigma and economic impact. A key goal is to establish the F-CuRE platform for clinical research and coordinated response to filarial diseases.
