UAWOS project: Drone-Based High-Resolution River Monitoring for Climate Adaptation and Smart Water Governance

UAWOS develops a drone-based system for high-resolution monitoring of rivers, capturing key hydrometric variables such as bathymetry, water velocity, and surface elevation. By integrating airborne data with satellite Earth observation, it enables accurate and cost-effective river discharge estimation, even in remote areas. The solution supports climate adaptation, risk assessment, and smart water governance across Europe.
