DiBiCoo – Digital Global Biogas Cooperation

The EU is a world leader in biogas – gas produced from organic waste. Europe is also the world’s leading producer of biomethane – produced by the enrichment of the methane content of biogas, sewage gas and landfill gas. The EU-funded DiBiCoo project will support the rapid growth of the European biogas/biomethane industry by preparing markets for the export of related technologies from Europe to developing and emerging countries. It will develop support tools, both digital and non-digital, to enable knowledge transfer and capacity building. The project will assist the European biogas industry reach out to emerging markets across Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. The target countries selected for the DiBiCoo proposal are Argentina, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia and South Africa.
